I should make it more obvious that this will be required. Perhaps add some sub-bullet-points to the numbered list in the setup guide about what it will do when you run that command.

This would make the setup guide longer, but that's okay. It would be good to split it out to its own documentation page anyway, and give the readme some more room to breathe.
