\par \plain\f2\fs32 Release Notes for LDMud for Win32 (3.2.9-dev254\plain\lang1033\f2\fs32 )\plain\f2\fs20
\par
\par This document includes updated information for the documentation provided with
\par "LDMud for Win32". Issues outlined in this document maybe corrected in upcoming releases.
\par ____________________________________________________________________________
\par \plain\f2\fs24\b
\par \plain\f4\fs32 Setup
\par \plain\f2\fs20
\par \plain\f2\fs24 General
\par
\par \plain\f2\fs20 If you don't have a network card installed on your computer then you have to install
\par the Dialup-Networking (RAS on NT) in order to run the driver.
\par
\par Please note that on Windows 95 you must have an \plain\f2\fs20\b active \plain\f2\fs20 dialup-connection when
\par you start the driver. After it has been started you can can safely hangup if you want
\par to use the mud only local. Windows NT doesn't need a connection since it uses the
\par MS Loopback-Device.
\par
\par Not to get an error message saying \plain\lang1033\f2\fs20 "cygwin1.dll not found" when the driver starts
\par the erq, we suggest to put cygwin1.dll into a directory, where your path variable
\par points to.\plain\f2\fs24
\par
\par
\par Mudlib
\par \plain\f2\fs20
\par The Mudlib should reside in the \plain\f2\fs20\i \\mud\\mudlib\plain\f2\fs20 directory. If you\plain\lang1033\f2\fs20 're going
\par to install the mudlib in another directory, use the runtime option
\par -m<path_to_your_mudlibdir> to point to your mudlib. With "ldmud-32dev-254 -?"
\par you can get a list of all supported command line switches.\plain\f2\fs20
\par
\par
\par \plain\f4\fs32
\par \plain\f5\fs24 How to get started with the TubLib
\par \plain\f2\fs20
\par Launch the gamedriver (\plain\f2\fs20\i \\mud\\mudbin/ldmud-32dev-254.exe). \plain\f2\fs20 When you read "Setting up ipc."
\par on the console window then you are up and running. Test with "telnet localhost 7680" and
\par login as "tubmud" without password. Read your mudmail.
\par \plain\f4\fs32
\par
\par GameDriver\plain\f2\fs20
\par
\par \plain\f2\fs24 General
\par \plain\f2\fs20
\par The driver was built using the CygWin Package from Redhat/Cygnus Software
\par (http://solutions.redhat.com/cygwin) and has been tested on Windows NT 4.0 (Build 1381,
\par SP 6) without encountering problems. Windows 9x and Win2k haven\plain\lang1033\f2\fs20 't\plain\f2\fs20 been tested.
\par
\par The driver was built \plain\f2\fs20\b with\plain\f2\fs20 support for the external request demon (ERQ). The normal erq
\par (erq.exe) is used as default, we also provide the xerq as binary here (not tested).
\par
\par In case that you need further information on how the driver was built, we have
\par included the files \plain\f2\fs20\i config.h\plain\f2\fs20 , \plain\f2\fs20\i machine.h\plain\f2\fs20 and \plain\f2\fs20\i Makefile\plain\f2\fs20 in the \plain\f2\fs20\i build\plain\f2\fs20 directory.
\par
