.SH DESCRIPTION
.B uname
prints out the operating system name to standard output. Various options
correspond to various characteristics that can also be printed.
.SH OPTIONS

.BR \-a
Behaves as though \fB-mnrsv\fR were specified.

.BR \-m
Print the name of the hardware on which the system is running (e.g. x86).
.TP
.BR \-n
Print the name of this node on the network (i.e. the system's hostname).

.BR \-r
Print the current operating system release.
.TP
.BR \-s
Print the name of the operating system
.TP
.BR \-v
Print the current operating system version.

The following exit values are returned:

The program successfully did its thing.

Could not get the requested information.
