History

Admin c9513e2090 git: object sizes, first-parent walks, and pack reads that scale to the Linux kernel -- Repository::object_size answers a blob's size from the pack header without inflating it, and first_parents walks a ref's first-parent chain (both for history indexing). Commits whose text is not valid UTF-8 (the kernel's oldest carry Latin-1 names) are decoded leniently instead of failing. Pack reader threads share one parsed pack index instead of each parsing its own (about 500 MB per reader on the kernel), bounded reads keep the pack file open, and a small per-reader cache holds resolved delta bases (8 MB), so a history scan of the kernel peaks at a few GB instead of 25 GB and its tree diffs run about 3x faster. Checked on the Linux node: makepad-git tests; the Scope history index on makepad and the full kernel clone.
