Admin 3e8eba0122 examples: the UI tests pass, for the reasons they failed -- the dock reports a tab header clipped to its visible tab bar, and leaves out a tab that is wholly scrolled out of view: the splash example's left panel has more tabs than room, "Toggles" is cut off at the panel's edge, and the centre of its unclipped rect lay on the neighbouring panel's first tab, so a test (or any automation) that clicks a tab by its rect opened the wrong one; the splash test then scrolls the Toggles page to the dropdown that sits below its fold, the way the media test beside it already scrolls; and the render-to-texture test captures until the child pass composite is there (at most three seconds) instead of judging the first frame after the pane has a rect, which is one frame before the composite lands -- what it pins is that every quadrant arrives in its own corner, not on which frame Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>		2026-09-21 23:55:46 +02:00

makepad-example-simple

A very simple example of a Makepad Framework application, used to illustrate the basic concepts of Makepad Framework. For an explanation of what Makepad Framework is, please see the README for the makepad-widgets crate.

The example consists of a chromeless window containing both a button and a label displaying a counter. Clicking the buttnon will increment the counter. It illustrates the basics of initializing an application, handling events, drawing the UI, and working with the DSL.

The code for this example is fairly well commented, so it should be a good starting point for playing around with Makepad Framework.
